About

My name is Samantha Knightbridge. My roots weave between the tides of the U.K. and the first light of Te Tairāwhiti. I am Māori, and I am Pākehā. I am from both Hauiti and Mahaki. I am an artist. I am a mother.
In my 31 years of life I have walked many different paths. We have worked in book stores to nightclubs, lived both home and abroad, I was a child riddled with anxiety and then a teen mum. Despite the beautiful chaos, we still graduated with a Bachelors of Design & Visual Art.
After losing my job during COVID in 2020 I decided to start sharing my journey online. I have been creating for as long as I can remember, it was a form of expression and healing - whether I had realised that or not. But once I started drawing more authentically, the whole world responded.
Since then I have continued with the brushes and exploring different mediums in my own time. I've moved from the big city, have had two more babies and I have gained another passion supporting the wellbeing of our rangatahi here in Te Tairāwhiti.
When my fingertips aren’t tapping a keyboard or covered in charcoal or paint, you'll find me embracing and balancing life with my most precious works of art to date... my kids. ♡
